LochenHeath Golf Club Breaks Ground on the Cottages
By Brian Weis
LochenHeath Golf Club has broken ground on developing new high-end, on-site cottages.
The first phase will include two cottages of a six-cottage enclave located just a short stroll from the clubhouse and practice facility. This will allow golfers to play and stay at LochenHeath.
The spacious layout of the 2,400 square foot cottages includes four en-suites, an expansive common living area, gas fireplace, and a screened-in deck. The designer kitchen features all top end appointments. Mapleridge Construction is the general contractor, paired with Shane Inman from the Inman Company as the lead designer.
" The goal of the Cottages is to attract more National Members to enjoy the on-site lodging and the natural beauty of LochenHeath. Players want to stay for a weekend for a full golfing, lodging and dining experience," states Kevin O'Brien, General Manager. "We have worked hard to build our brand, and Golf Digest has now labeled us as a ' Best in State' course. As we move toward becoming a completely private course, having on-site lodging is instrumental in moving toward this goal." The Cottages will be available for rental by summer 2019.
Currently, LochenHeath is a private club allowing limited outside play. For more information, please contact LochenHeath Golf Club at 231-938-9800 or visit www.lochenheath.com.

All of his life, Brian has been around the game of golf. As a youngster, Brian competed at all levels in junior and high school golf. Brian had a zero chance for a college golf scholarship, so he worked on the grounds crew at West Bend Country Club to pay for his University of Wisconsin education. In his adult years, his passion for the game collided with his entrepreneurial spirit and in 2004 launched GolfWisconsin.com. In 2007, the idea for a network of local golf directory sites formed and GolfTrips.com was born. Today, the network consists of a site in all 50 states supported by national sites like GolfTrips.com, GolfGuide.com and GolfPackages.com. It is an understatement to say, Brian is passionate about promoting golf and golf travel on a local, regional, national and international level.
On the golf course, Brian is known as a fierce weekend warrior that fluctuates between a 5-9 handicap. With a soft fade, known as "The Weis Slice", and booming 300+ drives, he can blast it out of bounds with the best of them.
